During the competitive prime of CoD4 in Malta, one particular team never failed to win every local competition they participated in, not to mention having unprecedented success abroad. The team won €3350 in cash and €3488 in hardware and vouchers across the 7 local LAN wins and 3 local prized cups. All this prize money, the team, under the leadership of Metju, used to attend one of the largest CoD4 LANs: the eXperience 09. Amongst other things, EVERSIO was the first local team to get into the pre-invite and invite channels, qualify for the first time and doing very well at the Eurocup, breaching Top 10 at the CB Ladders etc.
However, with CoD4 declining internationally, the imminent release of Modern Warfare 2, and a further local slump, the team was left demotivated and gradually fell into inactivity, despite lineup changes to try and improve.
However, Matthew 'Matli' Bajada and Marco 'PK' Bugeja have recently come about to try and reassemble the team into becoming a European top team. Whilst the other three could not dedicate the time needed by the team, whether it was work-related, or WoW-related, EVERSIO decided to take another route in recruiting foreigners to compliment the lineup.
After months of trialling different players, the team finally settled on Rick 'liquor' Lowissen from NWA, Henrik 'Terry-' Villa (the deaglebro!), who played for teams such as komacrew and unique and Andreas 'midnajt' Frosberg formerly of AIMAZING, sTRASH and TmG.
Statement from Matli:
"We might be a new team, and we still have many things to iron out, but our results already seem very promising, and with time, and the right opportunities we are confident that we can become a top team; we plan on attending any worthwhile EU LANs that come our way."
The lineup is as follows:
Matthew 'Matli' Bajada
Marco 'PK' Bugeja
Rick 'liquor' Lowissen
Henrik 'Terry-' Villa
Andreas 'midnajt' Frosberg
